We never push people towards membership. We offer membership classes during the year where you can learn more about our church, ask questions, and get to know our leadership. Its always your choice to become a member on your own time table, or to choose to attend without becoming a member at all.
Steps to membership at New Hope Fellowship:
1. Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
2. Have been baptized by immersion subsequent to a conscious commitment to Christ as Savior. (or be willing to be baptized by immersion upon completing the other requirements)
3. Be in agreement with the Church Covenant and Doctrinal Statements.
4. Have attended the church membership class.
5. Have met with the Pastor and Elders.
Why become a member?
Membership is not necessary for salvation, however, being committed to a local assembly of believers is a vital ingredient for spiritual growth for every believer. Jesus established the church for his glory and for our good. Being a Christian without being in a church is like being a human without being in a family. We all need each other, and commitment to one another through church membership is one way we express our devotion to Christ and to one another as the family of God.
